Bill Maher, I need some Politically Incorrectness

Louisville, Kentucky has just passed a smoking ban in most public establishments, except free standing bars....they would have been shot had they tried that. There are too many. Oh, you can still smoke at Churchill Downs....duh!!!!!! Open a casino & I bet you can smoke there too. Gimme a break you hypocrates! Anyway it is sad to see that the smoking capital of the world has gone politically correct. Had they put it to a popular vote it would have never happened. Over half this city smokes. I smoke and my whole purpose of going out for a $50 meal is to talk and smoke, not eat overpriced food & drink,that's the "gimme" but I digress. By the way, why do we ban smoking in ballparks? It's open air. Can't you have a smoking section there? It's disapating in the air with the car & factory exhaust. I'm not just sad for smokers, but I am sad for what is really happening. Pandora's Box has just opened. Next, you won't be able to smoke in front of children, which means most of Hollywood's films from the golden era will be banned & you won't be able to smoke in your house or car. Let's burn some books and films in memory of Adolf Hitler, why don't we? It's already bad enough that smokers are relegated to the outside in the elements to smoke faster than norm and do even more damage than they would normally to themselves. However that opens the door to not being able to drink alcohol in front of kids at home. If they complain you get arrested. I'm sorry but when you give up one right, you open it up to give away them all. The smoking thing is not my main protest. It's opening the door to more personally restrictive legislation. Which the government should not be allowed. Many years ago an astrologer told me that the Berlin Wall would come down....but in retaliation, the USSR would become more like us with more freedom & we would have more restrictions placed on us. I'm afraid he was right and it's a sad day in Mudville for those who cherish freedom.
